Bath and Stonehenge

For our last weekend getaway, Joey and I spent a few days in Bath. We decided to go on a tour of Stonehenge, and also a tour to go see the Cotwolds. It was such a fun weekend, and we instantly fell in love with both places.

We went to Stonehenge, and I'll be honest, I don't understand this place. How the freak did those rocks get there, and why?? It's quite a site to see, but it just seems so random to me.
I don't get it, but it's very cool!

These are the only rocks that you can actually touch at Stonehenge. There is a path around the entire structure and so you can't even get up close to see really see it.

So we arrived in Bath in the morning and had a very short amount of time before we had to catch our tour. We walked around the little town and saw some fun things. And then after our tour, we walked around the town again and grabbed some dinner and had a grand old time. It's such a cute little city!

We went and saw Jane Austen's home where she lived when she wrote some of her masterpieces. I am a HUGE Jane Austen fan. Pride and Prejudice is one of my all-time favorite stories, and of course Joey has never seen the movie. Not good. We'll take care of that very shortly!
Just playing cricket on nearby field. So great!

The Crescent
So after our Stonehenge tour and our walk around Bath, we spent the night there and woke up early the next morning for our tour of the Cotswolds. I'll post about the Cotswolds later because that place deserves a post on its own. But we had such a wonderful time and really enjoyed seeing the beautiful scenery and one of the most historic sites in England.
Love you all!! XOXO!!
