Cornbelly's

Last weekend we went to Cornbelly's Cornmaze with Annie and Jimmy out at Thanksgiving Point. It was so festive and Halloweeny and we had a blast! Here are a few pictures from our adventures..

We went through the cornmaze, the non-haunted one, even though Annie and I wanted desperately to go through the haunted one. The boys were a little bit scared.

They had a hay maze where you could only make right turns to get out. Joey was the smarty pants and found the right way out. Good job Joe!!

So many cool pumpkins!

We had such a blast with the Lindsley's at the cornmaze. Only a few more days to do Halloweeny things! Love it!! HAPPY HALLOWEEN! XOXO!

One, two, and three...

We haven't been up to too much lately, but there are three things that I thought were worth mentioning (at least ones that I have documentation of) .. it's as easy as one, two, three...

ONE... MCCAYE GOT MARRIED LAST WEEKEND!!!!

It was such a beautiful, fun, and special weekend and I was so glad that I was able to be apart of it. McCaye looked absolutely beautiful and I am so happy for her and Chris. They truly are two great people and I am so happy for them and this adventure they are starting together. Love you guys!!

They were sealed in the Draper temple, which is beautiful, and I think it was fun to change it up a bit. It was a little windy (ok it was REALLY windy) outside the temple but McCaye looked stunning all the same.

The night before, they had a nice dinner at Christopher's and then after, they had bowling at Bonwood Bowling. I have never ever seen bowling on a wedding invitation, but I think it was such a great idea. We had a blast bowling, especially in church clothes :)

The set up at the bowling alley was so cute. They had a bunch of snack foods with little cookies shaped like bowling pins and bowling balls, trophies for all sorts of bowlers (Joey got most likely to go pro because he had the highest score when they were handing them out), and they even had socks for those of us who wore heels and didn't even think twice about bringing socks. Such a fun night! McCaye and Chris even got bowling shirts at the dinner that said 'bride' and 'groom'. I thought that was really cute. Congratulations to McCaye and Chris!!

TWO.... RICE!!!

I am an avid buyer of groupons, and this one I couldn't pass up, and I am so glad we didn't. We went on a little group date there with Annie and Jimmy, and Bret and McKenzi. Not only was the sushi AMAZING, and with a name like 'RICE', it had to be good. I take pride in my newly acquired last name. If you haven't tried RICE yet, you need to! It's really really good!

THREE...... JUST DANCE!!

Of course we have our nightly shows that we watched with the Lindsley's (and occasionally the McCormicks), but one night, we decided to spice it up a little bit and play just dance on the XBOX. It started with Joey and Jimmy warming up the dance floor, and soon enough, all four of us were out there dancing our butts off. So fun, and it was actually a nice little work out. I wish I would have gotten more footage to capture the hilariousness of it, but here's a little taste of it...

Until next time! Love you all!! XOXO!

i like fall.

We decided that we wanted to be way festive tonight and carve pumpkins! We were in the mood for something fallish and that seemed like the perfect idea. So we (the Lindsley's and the McCormick's) decided to go to the store to pick out the perfect pumpkins and then we went back and carved them while watching a scary movie. It was so fun and spooky!!

I LOVE baked pumpkins seeds and it was well worth the half hour that it took to separate them from all the goop. Throw a little butter, salt, and garlic salt on and we're good to go!

Meet Patrick!! This is our pumpkin that Joey so carefully carved out. Isn't he cute???

On the left: Lindsley's scary skeleton. Middle: Patrick. Right: McCormick's polka dot perfection

Another festive, fall thing I did this week was make homemade applesauce at work. Yes, that's what I do at work. It was a long process, but so fun to learn how to make it.

Another exciting thing that happened this week was that Joey and I celebrated our 5 month wedding anniversary. Joey is the biggest sweetie and brought home these beautiful flowers for me. I LOVE HIM SO MUCH!!! Best 5 months of my life.
